Tap OFS Financial Services’ local and accessible expertise

In just a few minutes with Amanda Crass you discover why she is passionate about creating positive client experiences. As an OFS Financial Services client services coordinator, part of the Olympia Federal Savings (OlyFed) family, Amanda brings enthusiasm to every interaction, supported by the same commitment to trust, integrity and service customers expect from OlyFed.
“At OFS Financial Services, my work begins and ends with people,” says Amanda. “Every client has a story, a family, and a future they want to protect, and my role is to help them feel confident and supported as they plan for what lies ahead.”
“These conversations aren’t always easy,” she adds. “But they are deeply meaningful because they’re about safeguarding the people they love most.”

Amanda Crass shares that longevity is a gift. Planning makes it sustainable.
OFS Financial Services offers a variety of investment, financial planning and insurance options from their local office located at OlyFed’s Tumwater branch. Amanda is a licensed life, health and long-term care insurance professional. She has been with OFS Financial Services for close to two years, supporting Senior Financial Advisor Jason Andrew and his clients. She is a seasoned customer service and administrative professional with knowledge across a wide variety of industries. Amanda takes pride in building strong relationships and meaningful client experiences.
“Being able to offer life insurance and long-term care planning allows me to look at the full picture of a client’s life, not just today, but the impact their decisions will have on their family years down the road,” she explains. “Life insurance provides reassurance during life’s most unexpected moments, offering financial stability and peace of mind when families need it most.”
Amanda is particularly tuned into long-term care planning, a critical subject many people often prefer to avoid. “Long-term care planning is especially close to my heart,” she says. “It is one of the most overlooked yet most important parts of financial planning, and it’s about far more than finances. It’s about protecting independence, preserving dignity and maintaining choice.”
Amanda says long-term care insurance helps ensure that clients can receive care on their own terms, without placing unexpected emotional or financial burdens on their loved ones. “I see it as a way to protect not just assets, but relationships,” she explains. She says long-term care insurance helps relationships to stay intact, giving family caregivers a break when respite care is covered.

People-Centered Planning and Expertise
Amanda says she is honored to help clients protect their futures with confidence and clarity. “So many people work their entire lives, saving for retirement and future goals, and it only takes an unexpected illness or accident to see those resources disappear,” she said. “According to seniorliving.org, the average cost of nursing home care in Washington State is more than $14,000 per month. It doesn’t take long before your life savings can be depleted because of the care you may need,” she continued. “Long-term care insurance is all about protecting what you’ve worked hard for over your lifetime and ensuring if something unimaginable does happen you have the resources and support to get the proper care you need.”
When asked what other advice she has when it comes to insurance, she said not to forget about life insurance for your children. “I like to remind new parents who are often buying life insurance for themselves to ensure their children are cared for and protected should something happen to them that life insurance for their children is just as important. While we never want to think of anything bad happening to our children, if something did happen, life insurance gives you the time, resources and space to grieve without financial pressures. I tell people that hopefully you never have to utilize the insurance, but if you do, you’ll be glad you’ve got it.”
It’s this kind of people-centered care and insight that makes Amanda a wonderful resource to clients at OFS Financial Services. “I like to actively sit down and talk with people.” She says that older clients preparing for their next phase of life, as well as younger clients experiencing new events like buying a home or having their first child, can benefit from the local planning expertise .
Amanda’s volunteer work strengthens deep community connections she makes through her position at OFS Financial Services. She serves on the board of the Childcare Action Council and actively contributes to OlyFed’s volunteer initiatives. Amanda previously worked in the healthcare field and has spent time as an educator, so advising clients of some of life’s big decisions comes naturally for her. A graduate of Black Hills High School in Tumwater, she now loves cheering for her two children from the sidelines and helps them balance studies and athletics.
With a lifelong interest in helping people, Amanda is motivated knowing that her work with clients today can ease their fear and uncertainty of the future. “I often see a sense of relief when clients realize they have a plan in place because peace of mind comes from preparation,” she says. “My goal is never to simply sell a policy, but to educate, guide and walk alongside clients so they are empowered and cared for every step of the way.”
